New H3C: Leading the Way to the "Smart Airport"

On 15 Dec 2017, New H3C, a global leader in New IT solutions, attended the 15th Civil Aviation Digital Development Forum of China, sharing innovative solutions for smart airports with technical experts from the civil aviation industry across the country.

            Smart Airports

Digital thinking based on New IT technology

Future "smart airports" will provide passengers with the convenience of seamless Internet services via Wi-Fi access anytime and anywhere, airport-wide. They will intelligently regulate airport traffic, saving passenger’s queuing time during boarding, and provide accurate, timely flight delay information, allowing passengers to enjoy food and shopping facilities in a leisurely manner where possible. This vision of the smart airport of the future, is reliant only on innovative integrated ICT solutions that are currently under way.

“Smart Airports“ need to integrate information from disparate sources: airlines, passengers, aircraft, flight operations, ground handling services, terminal business, and security. Airport construction trends are already aimed squarely at the smart airport vision, driven by trends in digital transformation dependent on New IT technology.

Drawing on years of accumulated technical development and practical experience in the field of civil aviation, New H3C has deeply integrated technologies such as the Internet of Things, mobile internet, cloud computing, and big data in a blend tailored to the unique needs of the airport business, creating a total, smart airport solution. Taking four critical dimensions into account – efficient operation, excellence of service, operational innovation, and security control – this solution is designed to optimize airport operational efficiency and the passenger travel experience. To top it off, H3C offers its airport customers comprehensive, end-to-end, IT life-cycle service.

New H3C promoting smart airport innovation

Wide adoption of New H3C’s New IT solutions has made these are constantly operational in all areas of civil aviation, where they have become the preferred brand of comprehensive ICT solutions. In the airport space, New H3C has won over 80% of Chinese civil aviation airport terminal building renovation/expansion projects during the past 8 years, and provided solutions to over 100 domestic airports. In the air traffic management space, New IT solutions have been applied in the ATC systems of all seven regional Air Traffic Control Bureaus. And New H3C solutions such as cloud datacenters, WANs, operation and management (O&M) platforms, and security platforms have been widely adopted by leading domestic airlines including South China Airlines, Hainan Airlines, Shenzhen Airlines and Sichuan Airlines.

Thanks to this digitalization, civil aviation has become more secure, reliable, flexible, intelligent, and sustainable. New H3C will continue its innovation under the guidance of the national strategy for building a strong country with excellent transportation, and the new IT strategy of “Driven by Application, Led by the Cloud”, helping build yet smarter airports, and taking the digital transformation of civil aviation to new heights.
